The SF Slipformer for Filigree Slabs is available for the production of elements with widths from 1200mm to 2400mm and heights up to 250mm(1). The thickness of the lower part of the slab may be varied depending on the fire resistance and loading characteristics required.
The lower part of the machine consists of two units, a universal frame and a specific forming insert for the production of the filigree slabs.
In order to achieve a high degree of production flexibility the universal frame can be used, not only with the filigree slab insert but with other forming inserts(2) to produce other products.
Changing production from one element to another is a quick and simple operation and does not require the use of skilled labour.
The Forming Insert is equipped with two concrete feeders (one front and one rear) to ensure the correct supply of concrete during element casting.
The size of the filigree slabs, as well as the type of stressing cable can be chosen depending on market requirements and the element specification required.
The bottom flange is reinforced with prestressing and steel mesh reinforcement to fulfil structural requirements as well as preventing concrete spalling and potential cracking. The lattice work enhances the shear strength and the integrity of composite cross section of the vertical sections after in-situ grouting and also gives the element the required stiffness during handling operations
The mechanical, hydraulic and electrical connections between the power unit and the forming inserts are by means of quick couplings to minimize downtime time when changing from one product to another.
